Let All You Do Be Done In Love

Speaker:
Eric Byrom
Sermon Date:
Sunday, April 3, 2022

Sermon Series:

This week, Pastor Eric Byrom is jumping ahead to 1 Corinthians 16.  We will then jump back to chapter 15 for Palm Sunday and Easter because it deals with the topic of the resurrection.  In looking at Paul's last remarks, we see him bringing it all back around to the idea of doing everything in love.  We see him relating love to how we give, how we make plans and how we treat leaders.

Sermon Passage: 1 Corinthians 16:1-24

Sermon Outline

  1. Let all you do be done in love by intentionally being radically generous to God’s work. (v. 1-4)
  2. Let all you do be done in love by organizing your life around God’s kingdom instead of your own. (v. 5-12)
  3. Let all you do be done in love by recognizing and following godly, serving leaders. (v. 15-20)

Study/Discussion Questions

  1. How does recognizing covenant community from last week’s message relate to the idea of letting all you do be done in love?
  2. Are you intentional to regularly set aside money as God blesses you with the intent of being radically generous to God’s kingdom?  If not, what holds you back?
  3. Are you intentional to organize your life around God’s kingdom instead of your own?  What would that look like in terms of your daily choices?  Your big decisions?
  4. Are you intentional to recognize and follow godly, serving leaders in your life?  What benefit might that give to you?  If not, what is holding you back?
  5. What is one thing that God wants you to do, remember or change in response to what you heard this week?
