And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” - Luke 2:10-12 (ESV)
Merry Christmas to All!
As we are rapidly approaching Christmas, it is our prayer that you will find moments to pause and rest in the joy that Jesus' advent brings. It is out hope that you will also pause and consider the challenges his advent brings as well. This Sunday we will be looking at both of these aspects in Luke 2:22-40.
On this third Sunday of Advent, pastoral elder Matt Godsil talks about the chiasm of the angel Gabriel speaking with Mary and giving her great news.

Questions for Discussion
This second week of Advent, we will continue our Advent series on "Grace on Mission in the Advent" with a look at Luke 1:18-23 and 57-80. This is the story of Zechariah and the conclusion to what happened to him and his response. We see from the hymn of praise with which he spoke after being unable to speak for over nine months that it contains many elements of Grace on Mission.
This week is the first Sunday of Advent. Pastoral elder Matt Godsil brings a word from Luke about the angel foretelling of the birth of John the Baptist to Zechariah.
