Run to obtain the prize!
- Run to obtain the prize by following Paul’s prescription! (v. 1-18)
- Run to obtain the prize by adopting Paul’s principle! (v. 19-23)
- Run to obtain the prize by living for Paul’s purpose! (v. 24-27)
Discussion Questions
- Tell your group about some of your favorite hobbies or interests. What has motivated you to go deeper into these areas?
- How does voluntarily choosing to relinquish our rights contribute towards helping others grow in the gospel? Can you think of any real life examples of this?
- How does using our freedom to put ourselves in positions of service represent the underlying principle of the gospel? What might this look like in real life?
- Why do think Paul’s purpose of seeking to represent the gospel in every area of his life equates to the prize he is running and training for? How might living for that prize affect what you choose to relinquish or how you choose to serve? Can you think of any real life examples of this from your experience?
- What is one thing that is calling you to change, do or remember from what you heard this week?
