Use the Gifts That God Has Entrusted to You

This week, pastoral elder Jadae Fox encourages us to use the gifts that God has entrusted to us. He references 2 Timothy 1:6-14 for assauging our fears and recognizing our  power and gifts given by God.

Vs. 6
1.  What gift(s) has God given you that He is encouraging you to stir up/fan into flames? (to grow in)
1b. What is a tangible way you can do this?

Vs. 7
2.  God does not give us a Spirit of fear, so where does it come from?
2b. what fears are you having right now?
3.  In what ways have you seen God’s power in your life?
4.  It is important to balance the use of power/boldness with the love of God and self-control.
What happens when we have boldness without love and self-control?

Vs. 8-12
5.  God has given every believer a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. According to verses 8-12 for what purpose has he given us these gifts?
6.  Paul points to the power of God as the reason he is suffering. In what ways do you see God using the situation you are in right now, for His purposes?
7.  Paul says, “I am convinced in whom I have believed”. How is that different than saying “in what I believe”?

Vs. 12-14
8.  What does it mean to guard what has been entrusted to you?
8b. Does guard just mean to keep it safe…? What do we do with it?
(That God has given us these gifts to share the Gospel)
8c. Who is doing the most work us or the Spirit?
