• In what ways have you grown outward in service to God and others this year?   How has this changed since last year for you?
• What is the connection between emptying oneself and service as you see it in this passage?  Why is this often so difficult for us to do?
• How is humbling oneself and going voluntarily through suffering connected?  What ways is God calling you to die to yourself right now?
• Why is it so important to not require others to glorify us in our service but rather to wait on God to lift us up?  What happens when we get this wrong?
• What is one thing that God wants you to do, remember or change in response to what you heard today?
