This week, we are honored to have the Mansfield Christian show choir, IMAGE, join us for worship. Also, pastoral elder Eric Byrom continues our sermon series on virtue by talking about prudence also known as wisdom.
Sermon Passages: Proverbs 24:13; 25:16; 26:4-5
Sermon Outline
- Cultivate prudence in your life by understanding which virtues are necessary in a situation.
- Cultivate prudence in your life by being conformed to the image of Christ in your life.
- Cultivate prudence in your life by learning positive fear and positive foolishness.
Discussion Questions
- What has helped you the most in life to grow in the prudence to know which virtues are right for which situation? Can you provide an example of this from your own life?
- What does it look like in your life to be conformed to the image of Christ and grow in prudence? What actions would you need to take over the next 5 years for this to be realized?
- Do you feel you have a proper understanding of “positive fear”? What about “positive foolishness”? How have you grown in these in your own life?
- What is one thing God wants you to remember, do or change in response to what you have heard today?
