- What comes to mind when you hear the word "blessing"? How has this idea shaped your understanding of God’s character?
- What is a curse, and in what ways do we speak and bring them?
- Which of the qualities listed in 1 Peter 3 verse 8 (unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, a humble mind) do you find most challenging to live out? Why?
- Verse 9 instructs us not to repay evil with evil but to bless instead. What does it look like to bless someone who has wronged you?
God’s Blessings Change How We Think and Live (Vs 8, 9, 11) - How has experiencing God’s blessings changed your mindset or approach to challenges?
- What steps can we take to “turn away from evil and do good” in our daily lives (v. 11)?
- Our Speech Reflects Our Blessing (Vs 10)
- James 3 talks about the power of the tongue. Can you share a time when your words either tore someone down or built them up? What did you learn from that experience?
- Living Blessed to Bless Others Brings Rewards (Vs 12)
- How does knowing “the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous” (v. 12) motivate you to live a life that blesses others?
Application - In what ways can we intentionally bless others in our words and actions this week?
