Study Questions
- What is one of the things that you have prayed the hardest for?
- What motivated Daniel to pray so intensely? (Vs 1-2) What was his attitude and tone? What are the keys to this kind of prayer? (Vs 3-4)
- What does true repentance look like; how is it different from just saying you are sorry? (see Luke 3:8–14; Acts 3:19; 2 Corinthians 7:10)
- Like Daniel prayed in repentance on behalf of his nation… Who are you in a position to pray for? (Be general without names or specifics) (Such as your children, nieces, and nephews, ancestors, employees, fellow citizens of your city/state/nation)
- Why is it important to balance our prayers of repentance with declarations of who God is and what He has done?
- What about the way Daniel prayed shows you that he not only expected God to hear him; but also, to respond?
- What is one thing that has challenged or encouraged you from this text? What is the next step?
