Thankful grace recognizes the realities of sin.
Thankful grace converts our virtuous self rather than fighting  our evil self.
Thankful grace converts our virtuous self through the gospel rather than will power.

1. Tell us when you had the first realization that you had a very evil self within you?  How did that make you feel?
2. What did you do to try to manage that evil self?  Did it work?  How long?
3. Have you ever tried converting your virtuous self rather than fighting your evil self?  What did that look like?
