• Experience victory over sin in your life by arming yourself with the knowledge of what Jesus has done for you! (v. 1-2)
• Experience victory over sin in your life even though the world ostracizes you! (v. 4-5)
• Experience victory over sin in your life even though you used to be enslaved by sin! (v. 3, 6)

1. How does looking to Jesus’ suffering on the cross for your sins break the power of wanting to sin more than worrying about God punishing you for sin?  What has this looked like in your own life?
2. How does this passage give us insight into how to live a godly life even when people think that is weird and give us a hard time?  What ways have you experienced this in your life?
3. How does this passage give us insight into living free from the sins that used to enslave us or occupy our time?  What has that looked like for you to live this out?
4. What is one thing that God wants you to do, change or remember in response to what you learned today?
